You are Helping Us by Praying for Us

“You are helping us by praying for us. Then many people will give thanks because God has graciously answered many prayers for our safety” (2 Corinthians 1:11).

Dear Friends,

I just returned from a long missionary trip to Ukraine and Belarus with rich impressions and gratitude for your prayers. While there, thousands of young people dedicated themselves to ministry—what more joyful sight could there be?

With the participation of our key speakers, the well-known Christian writer Philip Yancey and Dr. John Bernbaum, we held nine events in Kyiv and Minsk, which gathered more than 3,000 participants. The Forum of Young Christian Professionals in Minsk was a major event. Only a year ago, we could not believe that this would be possible. Belarus is often called the last Soviet dictatorship in Europe and is known for its severe restrictions on religious freedom. No one even knew whether this forum would take place. We were ready for a variety of scenarios, but your prayers have given us victory. Now hundreds of young leaders will carry out a vision of missions in their professional fields, transforming their workplaces and nations for Christ and His Kingdom.

Thank you for being an important part of this ministry and its impact.  We look forward to continuing our partnership in order to advance the ministry initiatives of Mission Eurasia.  

On behalf of our entire Mission Eurasia team (you can find our team on the picture), hundreds of forum participants from Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, and Lithuania, and School Without Walls coordinators from 14 different countries of Eurasia and Israel, I want to say, “Thank you!”

I also want to say, “Thank you” on behalf on my family, who were waiting for me for 17 days and who were comforted and encouraged by your prayers. 

In appreciation for your prayers and the amazing ways God has answered those prayers, I would like to ask you to pray for our upcoming winter ministry projects. We plan to collect and present Gifts of Hope for 100,000 children and needy families in the most difficult places of Eurasia this Christmas season.
